Wedding Wishes

Wow, that was a long break from blog world. But a much needed one for me. I had gotten too overwhelmed with trying to keep up with my blog and other endeavors that I forgot about the fun in making cards and LOs. So I took a little break this summer from a lot of things and just concentrated on making my crafts just for me and no one else.

So, now that I am back I decided to share with you a wedding card since this is wedding season and all. A pretty simple card with the stamping and all but I added a little embossing for an elegant look. Looking at it now I wished I would have added a little glitter to the flower to make it pop more but still happy with it.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Girly, You Rock!

Another new year and a new decade is upon us. I hope your 2009 was wonderful and that 2010 is even better. Everyone deserves to be happy so I wish all of you tons up happiness for the year to come.

So to go along with the theme of happiness, here is a cheery card for you. I just love the colors in this card, they are bright, fun and happy. I have been on a kick lately with butterflies and when I was shopping at Michaels a few weeks back, I came across this sizzix butterfly die and I had to have it especially when it was 40% off. What a deal and a great purchase because this baby will get some good use.
Hope you all have a fabulous week and that you are kicking 2010 off to a good start.

Absolutely Fabulous

I don't necessarily feel absolutely fabulous today but I thought this card might cheer me up a bit. This card came together in no time at all and was a lot of fun to make. I originally submitted this card for the style challenge for the CARDS May 2010 call and since it wasn't picked up, I thought I would share it with you today.
The style challenge was to create a card with the colors baby pink, cream and black and you had to add a flourish for the element. I had just gotten this new to me sizzix flower die and I just got the inspiration from this flower and went with it. Sometimes all it takes is a new purchase to spark some creativity. I had to add some glitter to this card because the word fabulous just screams glitter to me. :o)
Supplies:
